Fans began lining up the night before to see Why Don’t We rock the Citi Concert Series stage. By the time the performance began thousands of fans had filled the area in front of the Today Show stage with some fans even spilling off into the 30 Rockefeller Center Plaza across the street. The band kicked off their performance by singing “Happy Birthday” to one of their biggest fans.
After a quick break they jumped into their set and first performed “Trust Fund Baby.” That was followed up by their new single “What Am I” written by Ed Sheeran. They closed their set with the title track off of their first album “8 Letters.” During a break in their performance the band spoke about how grateful they were for all of their success.
Check out the upcoming performances on the Citi Concert Series, Friday’s on NBC.
