Presented by Atomique Productions and MRG Concerts , Allen Stone made his return to Victoria B.C. to a crowd of adoring fans this past Thursday at Capital Ballroom. Music fans in Victoria first got a taste of Stone’s soulful voice and energetic stage presence back in 2017 at the Phillips Backyard Weekender festival. Much to the delight of many, Stone and his band returned to Victoria this summer gone, gaining more fans in the process as he performed at The Rock The Shores Festival.

In his bright yellow shoes and pink suit, Stone danced his way through hits off his album “Radius” whilst the crowd sang along. Later in his set, Stone left the stage while his drummer played an amazing solo, affording Stone the opportunity to don a head-to-toe costume change, trading his pink suit for a jumpsuit and pink Vans.

The crowd continued to sing along throughout the whole set, proving that this certainly wasn't their first exposure to his music. Luckily, we were treated to an encore, which opened up with a cover of The Police's “Message in a Bottle”, followed by Stone's hit “Warriors” , which he performed live at the US Special Olympics opening ceremony this year.

As the night came to a close, people flocked to the merch table, and as I left the venue, I spotted a small crowd of people waiting near his tour bus. Hopefully, Victoria B.C. will be treated to Allen and his band's immense talent again in the very near future.
