Joan played for a full house in Phoenix, Arizona on Monday night in a show that was as spectacular as it was ground breaking. The duo is made up of members Alan Thomas and Steven Rutherford, blending together a sound of retro and new age synth pop that has the power to liven up in a crowd in mere seconds.
The show consisted of drawn out guitar solos, heavy backbeats, and melodies that had the audience dancing, A LOT.
The set was concise, yet intricate and powerful. The stage and production were simple, but ultimately it helped give a feeling of intimacy that had the crowd in absolute adoration the entire time.
There’s no doubt that I’ll be seeing these guys again. If you’re a fan of dancing and getting in early with artists that are soon to be indie pop stars, get to a Joan show! Find tickets now at: https://songsbyjoan.com/
