Spring is right around the corner and we all know what that means: Music Festivals are set to take over. Jacksonville, Fl. is home to the rockstravaganza that is the Welcome to Rockville Festival, which will take place on the 29th and 30th of April of the present year. With a line-up sure to open some eyes and drop some jaws, the festival aims to be the biggest and baddest one to date.
Last year’s line-up included serious heavy-weights the likes of Rob Zombie, Disturbed, ZZ Top and Megadeath. One might presume that it’d be a fool’s task for the festival organizers to attempt to outdo themselves this year. And yet, they have.
This year’s line-up packs a serious punch with some kick-ass bands of the past and present to create a rock oasis that any true fan must bear witness to. Headlined by juggernauts Soundgarden and Def Leppard, Welcome to Rockville is set to unleash presentations by renowned bands like A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Coheed and Cambria, Of Mice and Men, Mastodon, The Pretty Reckless, Alter Bridge and Gojira among several more well-known acts. Joining in on the fun are up and comers like Goodbye June and Cover Your Tracks, who are out to become more of a household name.
Now, we’re not going to tell you that this a must-see festival, because, quite frankly, it should be obvious. If there was ever a time to take a vacation to Jacksonville, Fl. or call in sick to work, this is it. Don’t miss out on the fun, the fans, the food, the beer and, of course, the rock!
