Skegss are still a pretty fresh band who were formed in the beautiful most East end of Australia called Byron Bay somewhere around 2013. Fresh off the release of their debut album entitled "My Own Mess", the band are currently playing heaps of awesome festivals. Their sound produces a vibe which is reminiscent of great laid back surfer garage rock music if I have to put it into words.
It's absolutely sick to see these guys filling up the Tolhuistuin, where it seemed that everyone in attendance to experience their live set were dedicated hard core fans. As soon as the music started the energy seeped into the blood of the audience , with crowd members moving and singing along. From that moment alone, you could tell that this was going to be something special!
The lads did an absolutely stellar job in getting the crowd to share their mood. We could all feel the Aussie vibes for one night. I really got the sense that they did a “Best Of” show where almost everybody knew and sang all songs with them coupled with heaps of moshing and the crowd having the time of their lives.
The three legends on the stage just stayed as humble as they can be, being themselves and playing a bunch of tasty laid back tunes with catchy lines that everyone could relate to.
They are just finishing their tour through Europe and heading next to America. If you have the change to see these guys live, just absolutely do it!
