Are you ready for some summer vibes? Because that's what the friendly earthquake called Xavier Rudd is gonna deliver to the crowd. The people were more than ready to embrace the loving arms of Xavier Rudd. After a great kick starter to the evening by support act Tay Oskee who was able to get the audience sing and dance, it was time for the main event of the evening.

This friendly Australian musician had his breakthrough as a international artist with his song "Follow The Sun", a song that I heard for the first time during a Dutch commercial some time ago. I have to admit that I didn’t know much about Rudd or his songs but this was a great first introduction.

One of the main things that caught my attention was the amount of storytelling that was interwoven into each of his songs and conveyed in between his performances.

The biggest message that Rudd wants to portray is "LOVE". Love is the medicine to all our troubles and sins so he says. He also followed this up with a very powerful statement: "Love is the only thing that dictators can't squash" it is clear to me, this man is here to make much more than music only, he is here to bring some positive energy and love to spread throughout the world. Kudos to this man and his positive energy!

Later on the show there is a moment of quietness where some fan shouts "I love you" to Xavier Rudd as he responds with "I love you too"; a pretty awesome and funny moment to break the silence. Rudd then follows with heartbreaking story that tells of a refugee who fled from the war in his country; A young boy who was a child soldier with an AK-49 and has held onto the same teddy bear that he now has as a man who has become a poet and musician.

This jaw dropping story was followed by Rudd performing a song with this very man he told the story about as they sane their song "Best That I Can".

I was very impressed by the overall performance and absolutely loved the storytelling throughout the whole night and great musicianship from the whole band.

And remember: Love Is The Answer ;)
