Hi, I'm Nubbs! I have an unapologetic drive to have as much fun as I can while walking this earth, I am also a firm believer that the answer is always “No” if you never ask. Concert photography to me is the greatest escape from the bullshit in the world and this is why you will find me at 2-3 concerts a week and nearly always with my camera. Photography never came naturally to me. It was always something I had to work at and continue to do so every time I release the shutter. It’s that euphoric feeling you get when you look down at the screen after releasing the shutter and you know you got it just right. It’s like a drug and you can’t get enough of it!
I became a music photographer by accident. I was a photo journalist and motorcycle photographer until I met my wife. You see, my wife has an addiction to attending live concerts, I have an addiction to spending time with my wife. It seemed like a natural thing to blend my love for music, photography and my wife all into one. I wish I had some grand story of sneaking into clubs with my camera but I don’t. I just wanted to be able to have as much fun as I could so I found a way to do it all at the same time. I quickly became addicted to the challenge of capturing bands. Trying to predict their movements. Studying them before shows so I knew right where to be and when to be there in order to get that perfect shot. The hard work has paid off, I get to capture some of my favourite band all across the country. My work now makes others as happy as it makes me and for that I am grateful and honoured.
